Intel APO Now Available In 26 Games: Faster Performance On Core Ultra 200S & 14th Gen CPUs

Intel has added APO “Application Optimization” support for up to 26 games, now offering better performance on Core Ultra 200S & 14th Gen CPUs.

Intel adds several E-sports & AAA titles to APO for better performance on its latest Core Ultra 200S & 14th Gen CPUs

Intel’s Application Optimization software, which is also known as “APO” in some third-party documentation, will now support 12 more games as per the latest update. Intel announced the addition of several popular titles from esports and triple-A categories that can now enjoy better optimization on Intel Core processors.

The Intel APO enables the Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology or Intel DTT which helps improve the performance, battery life, and temperatures for the Intel hardware. With Intel APO, the newly added games can now be optimized as the software can determine and direct the resources to the application that needs the most attention in real-time. The latest games added are:

  • Company of Heroes 3
  • Counter-Strike: 2
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Dirt 5
  • Dota 2
  • Dreams Three Kingdoms 2 (PRC)
  • F1 22
  • Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker
  • Fortnite
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Metro Exodus
  • Naraka: Bladepoint

  • Total War: PHAROAH
  • Total War: THREE KINGDOMS
  • Total War: WARHAMMER 3
  • Watch Dogs: Legion

Games like CS2 and Dota 2 are one of the most played games on Steam with hundreds of thousands of concurrent players all the time. The addition of games like Cyberpunk 2077, RDR2, SOTR, and various other triple-A titles will allow the games to run smoother on the latest Intel hardware, particularly the Intel Arrow Lake Core 200S chips, which is the latest series to get support for the Intel APO.

Right now, only Intel 12th, 13th, and 14th gen processors can take advantage of the Intel APO and many users have had success with improved performance. At the same time, it should be kept in mind that the Intel APO works flawlessly only with Core Ultra 200S (Ultra 7 and Ultra 9) and 14th-generation Core i7 and Core i9 CPUs.

Concerning Intel mobile processors, only the Core i7 14700HX and Core i9 14900HX have complete support for Intel APO, and the rest of the CPUs, including Core Ultra 5 processors, Core i5s from 14th gen, and all the 12th and 13th Gen processors have limited support with Advanced Mode.
