Intel Rumored To Launch Battlemage GPU Model With 24GB Memory By 2025, Targeting Productivity Markets

Intel is reportedly set to launch a 24 GB VRAM GPU model based on its newest Battlemage architecture, likely targeting the “productivity” markets.

Intel Has Big Plans For Its Battlemage Lineup, Will Now Launch A 24 GB Variant For AI & Professional Workloads

It seems like Team Blue is having a great time in the GPU markets, especially with the release of their newest Arc Battlemage B580, which is said to be a popular choice for mid-range consumers due to the price-to-performance the SKU brings in. Now, based on information by Quantum Bits, it is rumored that Intel plans to launch a 24 GB Battlemage GPU model by next year, but not for the consumer markets, instead targeting the professional segment, likely adding the SKU to its “Arc PRO” series, but this isn’t certain for now.

In 2025, Intel plans to launch a larger memory version of the Battlemage series graphics cards, with the capacity increased to 24G.

In the future, the existing version will continue to serve consumer markets such as games , while the 24G larger video memory version will target the “productivity market.  The target users of the “productivity market” include data centers, edge computer rooms, education and scientific research, and individual developers.

The report further suggests that this particular model will cater to the needs of the AI markets and be used for research and similar workloads. The model would likely be well suited to workstation builds, and given that Intel doesn’t have a GPU option right now to offer to the productivity markets, the 24 GB Arc Battlemage model does make sense here. Although we are unaware of other details right now, it could be that Team Blue decides to offer the same configuration as the Intel Arc B580 but with bumped-up VRAM.

Intel only offers one model in its Arc Battlemage GPU lineup, notably the Arc B580, making the new series confined. The firm has plans to launch the Arc B570 by next year as well, but we are not expecting to see a “high-end” model by Intel for now, given that the firm is focused on the mid-range segment of the market. It seems like Team Blue is now more determined to increase its presence in the GPU markets, and with the success of the newly-released Arc B580, the firm has scaled up its plans.
