Inter keep tabs open for Bayern Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah
The Nerazzurri seek to acquire reinforcements in the defensive department ahead of next season as Inter are keeping their tabs open for star defender of Bayern Leverkusen Jonathan Tah.
Pasquale Guarro reports that the Milanese side are eager to enter race for the German international as Tah has announced that he plans to part ways with the Bundesliga outfits at the end of the season when his contract expires, putting an end to his time at Leverkusen after a nine-year stay.
With central defender’s Stefan De Vrij and Francesco Acerbi both turning 33 and 37 years-old respectively this season, coach Simone Inzaghi’s side are enthusiastic about possibly obtaining Tah on a free transfer in order to serve as the successor to one of the veteran central defenders, providing a great deal of depth for the back-line.
The 28-year-old has attracted a great deal of interest as German giants Bayern Munich currently seem to be leading the race in sealing Tah next season. The Nerazzurri face fierce competition as Barcelona are also earmaking the situation of Jonathan Tah very closely.
