International fast-fashion retailer Mango opens at the Pentagon City mall | ARLnow.com
A new European clothing store is now open at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City.
Spanish fast-fahion retailer Mango opened this past Wednesday, July 24 on the mall’s second level near Haggar. Mango has clothing for adults and kids in addition to home decor, though the Pentagon City location mostly sells women’s apparel.
Mango fills the space formerly occupied by the struggling British fashion retailer Superdry.
The new store opens in Pentagon City as Mango continues to expand throughout the country. The company previously announced its plans to open four new stores in the D.C. area this year alone, including one at Tysons Corner Center.
The retailer hopes to reach 40 U.S. locations by the end of the year.
“We are thrilled to continue our U.S. expansion plans with another store opening in Washington, D.C.,” Director of Expansion and Franchises Daniel López says in a press release. “Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is the ideal home for Mango, and we look forward to serving our customers in the area.”
Mango joins other recent additions to the Pentagon City mall, including Japanese retailer Uniqlo, glasses retailer Warby Parker and athletic apparel store Lululemon.
