Interns graduate from program with new job skills

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A group of interns is celebrating their graduation from Project Search at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

Project Search is a nine-month program that prepares youth with disabilities to enter the workforce and helps integrate them into jobs.

Interns in the program work through three different job cycles at Mayo Clinic to learn hands-on skills.

One of the interns said Project Search has helped give him confidence.

“It felt like my talent and skills I was learning was helping the time fly by and I was being part of something beneficial,” said Connor Pageant, Project Search Intern.

Project Search has been partnering with several school districts and businesses in the Chippewa Valley since 2016.
