iPhone 14 Plus users can get a free camera repair in new Apple program: All the details – Times of India
Apple is offering free repairs for iPhone 14 Plus devices experiencing rear camera preview problems, affecting units manufactured between April 2023 and April 2024.
The company stated that a “very small percentage” of iPhone 14 Plus models may fail to display a preview when using the rear camera. Affected customers can receive free repairs through Apple retail stores, authorised service providers, or mail-in service options.
Owners can verify their device’s eligibility by entering their serial number on Apple’s service program webpage. The repair coverage extends three years from the original purchase date of the device.
The program exclusively covers the iPhone 14 Plus model, with no other iPhone variants included in the service offering. Customers who previously paid for repairs related to this specific camera issue can contact Apple to request a refund.
Apple notes that devices must be free of other damage, such as cracked back glass, before the camera repair can be performed. Additional damage may incur separate repair costs.
This marks Apple’s first iPhone service program since 2021, when the company addressed earpiece speaker issues in some iPhone 12 models. Apple recommends that customers back up their devices to iCloud or a computer before seeking repair service.
The company may restrict repairs to the original country or region of purchase. The program does not extend the standard warranty coverage of the iPhone 14 Plus.
