iPhone 16 Is Clearly The Upgrade You Should Get Over The iPhone 16 Pro – Here’s Why

Apple launched the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models recently and the devices have a lot going for them, but based on first look, the standard models received a handful of design variations, while the bigger ‘Pro’ models only adhered to the size. If you are still adamant about buying one of the devices, check out why the iPhone 16 model is the one that you should go for.

The iPhone 16 is worth upgrading to, as the functionality gap between the ‘Pro’ models is more minimal than ever

Apple made some nifty changes to the entire iPhone 16 lineup this year, and to some extent, the difference between the standard and the ‘Pro’ models is less than last year’s iPhone 15 lineup. If you are on the verge of making a decision, here’s why you should consider the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus instead of the iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Design

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature a new design from the rear, bringing back the vertical camera setup that is not only slightly bigger than before but more capable as well. It will give users a fresh look and feel for sure and the vertical cameras now support Spatial Video support, which is a welcome addition if you have the company’s Vision Pro headset.

Cameras

The camera setup on the iPhone 16 is pretty capable and in line with the company’s entire lineup. This means that you get a 48MP main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide camera for enhanced macro photography mode. The device can also digitally zoom with better-than-before image quality, which is one of the reasons why users would be reluctant to get the non-Pro models.

Camera Control and Action Button

Apple introduced a new Camera Control button on the side of the device, which is also available on the iPhone 16 Pro, and this is the first time the company has introduced a novel functionality on models on both variants of the iPhone. Last year, the company introduced the Action Button for the ‘Pro’ models only, but this time around, the standard iPhone 16 also received the Action Button, which means that it is just as capable as the ‘Pro’ models.

Performance And Connectivity

All models of the iPhone 16 feature WiFi 7 technology for faster download speeds along with the same Bluetooth technology as part of its connectivity upgrade. Other than this, the A18 chip in the iPhone 16 features negligible performance difference from the A18 Pro chip, which means that the device will be perfectly capable of handling the same thing as the ‘Pro’ models. To top it off, the company has also streamlined the RAM count this year, with each model in the lineup running 8GB instead of 6GB RAM.

Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence is the company’s latest offering for the iPhone and a handful of additional devices, and it has been part of the biggest update that the iPhone has ever received. You would be glad to know that the iPhone 16 comes with all the bells and whistles of the ‘Pro’ models. It is also the novel functionality that you should try this year, and for better, the experience will remain the same, even with the standard models. If you want to get your hands on the new AI features, you no longer have to spend more to get more.

These are some of the features and aspects of the iPhone 16 that make it a better upgrade than the iPhone 16 Pro models. If you have an iPhone 15 Pro, you can simply wait for the iPhone 17 lineup, which will come with major changes onboard in terms of design, especially the iPhone 17 Air model. We can clearly see that the iPhone 16 is a much bigger upgrade than the ‘Pro’ models this year, and it might be worth upgrading to as you save your precious dough. We will conduct more comparisons soon, so do stick around for more.
