Ironwood Springs announces 38th Annual National Wheelchair Sports Camp
STEWARTVILLE, Minn. (KTTC) – Ironwood Springs is gearing up for its 38th Annual National Wheelchair Sports Camp (NWSC) again this year, offering individuals of all ages with physical challenges a diverse array of sports-themed activities.
The camp, which runs from June 8 through June 13, will provide campers with coaching and guidance from Paralympic athletes while giving them the space to discover newfound abilities, all while forming connections with others who share similar obstacles.
This year’s camp already has nearly 60 attendees signed up, ranging in ages from 11 up to 70 years old.
Throughout the week-long event, participants will get to engage in activities such as horseback riding, zip-lining, archery, soccer, pickle ball, badminton, trap shooting, water skiing, scuba diving, softball, and various crafts.
A memorial ceremony on Thursday will close out the activities, concluding the weeklong camp.
