Is Georgia football ranked 1st in both offense and defense in EA Sports College Football 25?

Georgia football has the highest ranked offense on the newest edition of EA Sports College Football 25, but its defense didn’t quite make the top spot.

The Bulldogs are ranked second on defense with a 94 ranking, two points behind Ohio State’s 96 ranking.

The Bulldogs and Oregon tie at the top of the offensive rankings with a 94 overall, with Alabama (91), Texas (91) and Ohio State (89) rounding out the Top 5.

LSU (89), Miami (89), Colorado (89), Missouri (89) and Clemson (87) complete the Top 10.

On defense, Georgia comes in ahead of Oregon (90), Alabama (90), Clemson (90), Notre Dame (90), Michigan (90), Texas (89), Penn State (88) and Utah (88).

The game ranked Sanford Stadium as the fifth toughest place to play on Tuesday.

Georgia football’s 40.1 points per game place it fifth in the country last season while its 15.6 points per game allowed on defense also ranked fifth. Georgia’s offense averaged 496.5 yards per game while its defense allowed 289.1 yards per game, ranking fifth and ninth, respectively.

Michigan (10.4 points per game) and Ohio State (11.2) led the nation in scoring defense while LSU (45.5) and Oregon (44.2) led the nation in scoring offense.

Carson Beck leads the Bulldogs once again under center while the Bulldogs added running back Trevor Etienne from Florida during the offseason.

Safety Malaki Starks and edge rusher Mykel Williams lead Georgia’s defense.

The College Football 25 game will release its first CFB video game in more than a decade on July 19. Because of legal issues, the company hasn’t released a college video game since NCAA ’14 in 2013. But with NIL comes a new business where the game can use player names and numbers in the game.

It will release its team rankings on Friday.
