It Was a Family Affair on the Red Carpets This Year

Good style is a gene that can clearly run in the family. At least, that’s what the 2024 red carpets would suggest. It has been a major family affair on the Hollywood step and repeats this year, with A-list stars and their famous offspring choosing to make rare appearances together.

Just last night, Blue Ivy Carter marked one of her first major red carpet appearances, when she attended the premiere of Mufasa alongside her mom, Beyoncé. (Blue voices the character of Kiara in the animated film, while Beyoncé returns to voice Nara.) Her metallic Christian Siriano gown was the perfect compliment to Beyoncé’s golden Balmain number—like mother, like daughter. The duo aren’t the only immediate family to have delivered a joint fashion serve this year: Famous children such as Knox Jolie-Pitt, Lila Moss, Nico Parker, and more have also hit up events with their parents in striking looks.

At last month’s star-studded Governor Awards, Angelina Jolie brought her son Knox Jolie-Pitt as her date—she in a vintage gown, and he in a classic tuxedo. The fashion weeks this year were also filled with mother-child sightings in the front row: Kate and Lila Moss sat together at the Gucci resort 2025 show, while Nicole Kidman and daughter Sunday Rose hit up a Miu Miu dinner in honor of the spring 2025 show (Sunday Rose walked for the collection, too).

Some families have chosen to work together this year, too. Dan and Eugene Levy famously hosted the Emmys—and can they please host every awards show?
