Itagaki Games Is Still Operational Following Reports Of Its Closure, But Still Hasn’t Shipped A Game – PlayStation Universe
The development studio formed by Ninja Gaiden mastermind Tomonobu Itagaki has not closed down despite reports claiming it had shut its doors.
It was believed that Itagaki Games, which was established in January 2021 and has yet to ship a title, had closed due to a company dissolution notice published in Japan over the weekend. It reads as follows:
Dissolution Notice: [Itagaki Games, LLC] has been dissolved, so if you have any claims against our company, please submit your claims within two months from the day this notice is published.

However, it has now been revealed that Itagaki Production Co., Ltd, which was formed in September 2010, has changed its name to Itagaki Games Co., Ltd in September this year, and remains operational. As such, it seems that Itagaki Games remains open and has instead transferred to Itagaki Games Co., Ltd.
A few days after Itagaki Games’ formation was announced, a Bloomberg report claimed that the company’s debut title would be coming to PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. Unfortunately, no details on the project have ever materialised, and we’re still no closer to finding out when the game will be released.
