It’ll be very warm across the area, but straight up hot if your travels take you to the west
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Today will be another sun-filled day as winds pick up just a little out of the south. They’ll get a little breezy at 10 to 15 mph with some gusts up to 20 mph. It’ll be a very warm afternoon with highs into the mid to upper 80s and lower 90s for the Local4 coverage area. Just west and northwest of the area, temperatures will rise to the mid to upper 90s in the Panhandle and Cherry County. Outside of a few clouds, it’ll be a quiet night as lows dip back to the upper 40s and low to mid 50s. Temperatures will be a little cooler out west, but will just be more in line with the rest of the area as highs top out in the mid to upper 80s. This is still well above average. We’ll once again see lows in the upper 40s and low to mid 50s by Saturday morning. A few clouds associated with the remnants of Hurricane spinning over the Midwest could push into Eastern Nebraska. These will move in late Friday, but will then move out by Saturday night. Meanwhile, it’ll be warm day on Saturday with highs in the mid to upper 80s and lower 90s. Expect similar highs on Sunday.
A cold front will push southeast through the area on Monday. This will bring a breezy northwest winds that might bring the wildfire threat up a bit. Temperatures will come down a little Monday with highs from the upper 70s northwest to the upper 80s southeast. The cooler air will be felt more Monday night through Tuesday night. Highs on Tuesday will be down in the upper 60s and low to mid 70s, which is closer to average for the first day of October. Temperatures will heat right back up on Wednesday and highs return to the 80s and lower 90s (warmest out west).
