The opening of the Elmwood Village Farmers Market on Saturday, May 11th marks the unofficial start of summer in Buffalo. For 26 years, it has been a favorite seasonal tradition for many families in the Buffalo community. 

When it comes to finding fresh local foods, you simply can’t get any fresher than what you’ll find at the Elmwood Village Farmers Market because it’s one of the ONLY Producer-Only markets in our area. This means everything is grown and/or produced by the vendors themselves in the WNY region. No re-seller vendors are permitted.

You can find 40+ weekly local vendors selling fruits, vegetables, baked goods, organics, fresh meat, cut flowers, wine, craft beer, spirits, eggs, dairy, honey, maple syrup, cheese, coffee, artisan pizzas, crepes, and more! Plus, there’s musical entertainment and community booths here. 

The Elmwood Village Farmers Market is all about bringing together growers, makers, and producers to offer fresh and unique products to the local community. 

Plus, it’s an opportunity to come and meet the people who grow your food, ask questions, and learn more about what you will be eating and drinking. 

Year after year, the Elmwood Village Farmers Market brings the community together by offering healthy options and an incredible experience to everyone who attends. When we say everyone, we really mean everyone! The Elmwood Village Farmers Market is a complete family affair with shopping and entertainment for all ages to enjoy. 

The Elmwood Village Farmers Market is made possible in part by presenting sponsor, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. Market-goers get to sit down and relax at the bistro tables and chairs that Highmark provides too. 

To increase access to fresh, healthy, local foods, the Elmwood Village Association runs the market’s Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) system which allows those who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to use their benefits at qualifying vendor stands. The Elmwood Village Farmers Market is located in the heart of the Elmwood Village at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Bidwell within beautiful, tree-lined Bidwell Parkway, a neighborhood park designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. 

Every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. from May 11^th through November 30^th.
