I’ve Travelled 5,442 Miles with My Canada Goose Garnet Cropped Puffer Coat (& Haven’t Looked Back Since)

With water-repellent and wind-resistant capabilities, this Pima cotton downproof coat had a lot of hype surrounding it, but after wearing it nearly every day in London for the past month and a half, I can wholeheartedly say it lives up to the chatter. Designed to withstand temperatures from 5 degrees Fahrenheit to 32 degrees Fahrenheit, this durable piece is made in Canada from 10 percent feathers and 90 percent responsibly sourced down that has a 750 fill power, making it extremely fluffy, light and insulating. The cuffs feature a recessed rib-knit finish to keep in the warmth around the wrists, and the exterior pockets are lined with the softest fuzzy fabric that have saved my knuckles time and time again from becoming chapped.

This is slightly embarrassing to admit, but after over a year of owning the coat, I’m just now discovering that the jacket has two interior drop-in pockets—a godsend for keeping small valuables safe and close to your person, especially while traveling—and an ingenious interior drawcord at the hem. Remember that woe I mentioned earlier about feeling the breeze come into the coat on my walks to the gym? Well, all this time I could have pulled on the drawstrings and tightened the hem to keep the gusts of wind out. (The more you know.) With that in mind, the warmth on this beauty goes up exponentially, especially for days when you don’t want to wear five-plus layers. I also love that it has removeable backpack straps—because I personally don’t love keeping them attached all the time—as well as a two-way zipper for ample ventilation.

All this to say, this is the warmest cropped puffer coat I’ve ever worn in my life. Best of all, I never want to take it off because it’s so comfy and soft.
