Jackson Middle School suspends sports competitions due to school rule violations

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – We’re getting new info from South Bend schools about the athletics program at Jackson Middle School.

This comes after parents sounded off online saying all sports are cancelled.

Our team confirmed athletic competition at Jackson has been suspended for three weeks, not cancelled outright. This means practices and workouts will continue.

School officials tell us the decision was made because of multiple students disregarding school rules. It’s the principal’s effort to restore order while establishing school rules.

School officials say it’s vital for middle school aged students to become acclimated with good value systems and character development.
