Jacksonville businesses announce Black Friday, Small Saturday deals, discounts on products
Black Friday, one of the biggest shopping days of the year, will once again see a local impact in Jacksonville as small businesses get ready to kick off the holiday shopping season. Between book and plant stores and the many boutique shops scattered around the city, Duval residents are sure to find at least a few deals to score on their shopping adventures. Many local retailers plan to offer discounts or other deals for the weekend while others have started their Black Friday or Small Business Saturday deals early. Here are some of the local spots that have unique sales this week:
Books, gifts and trinkets
Texas Sun will offer 30% off select jewelry and $30 off permanent jewelry as well as a gift card promotion. The gift card promotion is in three tiers: spend $200, get $50; spend $300, get $75; and spend $400, get $100. Gift cards are valid for all studio services: tattooing, piercing, jewelry and permanent jewelry.
The Literary Lounge will have a $40 fill-a-bag sale — with about 10 books fitting in a bag — on select books across all genres beginning at noon Friday while supplies last.
San Marco Books and More will offer 30% off online from midnight to 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Also on Saturday, DTWD Originals will have its first warehouse sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 210 Mayport Road. Items for sale will include new polos and discounted hats. The event will feature free beer, too.
Boutiques
Although there is no longer a physical store for BobbyK, the Jacksonville boutique has been offering 30% off all full priced items until Dec. 1. The discount automatically applies at online checkout.
Momni is offering up to 60% off and a free gift with purchases online from Monday until Wednesday.
Starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Sunhoney will be offering 25% off everything in-store, 15% off on the charm bar, up to 60% off in the sale section and a $15 gift card with purchases at $150 or more. The first 50 customers in the store will also receive a free, pink Sunhoney tote bag.
Wolf and Cub will have a “small business bingo” event for customers to spin a vintage bingo wheel to pull a letter corresponding with a specific prize or discount.
Other deals
Although it’s not a small business, the Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar at St. Johns Town Center is one of only two Florida locations, with the other in Tampa. It will also offer a special by bringing its brunch to Jacksonville for the first time from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
Cultivate will host a “shop small holiday market” featuring local artisans and vendors from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
A popular local coffee and plant shop and specialty cocktail bar, Greenhouse is offering a buy-one-get-one 50% off deal on plants. Additionally, those who purchase a signature coffee or cocktail can receive 20% off any one retail item, including plants, pottery or merchandise, and bringing a friend to the store will result in a 10% discount on orders.
Greenhouse also is offering $10 off on purchase of $50 e-gift cards. While the deals can’t be stacked, the store is also offering a free, branded hat giveaway for those who take a picture during their visit and tag Greenhouse on social media.
