Jake’s Gambling Pit: Week 6
YTD: 21-13-1
Week 6 is not for the faint of heart. We got a BIG card for Saturday!
Mizzou at Texas A&M -2 O/U 48.5
The Aggies come into this game battle-tested and in the comfort of Kyle Field. Mizzou on the other hand hasn’t played anyone significant outside of Boston College. Both offenses still need to work out their kinks, but A&M gets the edge at home.
Texas A&M -2 Under 48.5
Navy at Air Force +10 O/U 34.5
The Commander in Chief series returns. The under is the safe bet. Both teams run the triple option so it will be 95% run. The game will be shorter with most plays being “3 yards and a cloud of dust”.
Under 34.5
Auburn at Georgia -24 O/U 53.5
Georgia almost pulled off a miraculous comeback against dreaded rival Alabama. Auburn also lost a hard-fought game but Coach Hugh Freeze keeps throwing his players under the bus. The Bulldogs are going to come out pissed off, and I’d say the Tigers might just be looking to get this one over with.
Georgia -24
Rutgers at Nebraska -6.5 O/U 40.5
Greg Schiano has Rutgers rolling again. Nebraska is coming off of a bounce-back game against Purdue. The Knights are due for a letdown, and if the Huskers take care of the football, their talent will carry them into the fourth quarter.
Nebraska -6.5 Under 40.5
Michigan at Washington -2.5 O/U 41.5
This is the “too good to be true” game. Michigan is ranked 10th in the country after close calls to USC and Minnesota. Washington is coming off the bye after their loss in Piscataway to Rutgers. I have no idea how Washington is favored in this matchup, which is why I’m taking the Huskies. Whenever you see a bet that looks “too good” you bet the opposite. Both offenses have been clunky so the under is also a play.
Washington -2.5 Under 41.5
Texas Tech at Arizona -6 O/U 63.5
What better way to end the day than with Big 12 after dark? Both these teams can score points, and with their defenses showing signs of “leakage” this season. This one has over hitting at 1 AM written all over it.
