Jarvis Greer among Memphis Sports Hall of Fame’s 2024 class

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Memphis Sports Hall of Fame class of 2024 was revealed Tuesday, and features Action News 5 legend Jarvis Greer!

Jarvo is among this year’s selections, which include:

• Zach Randolph
• Reggie White
• Jarvis Greer
• Dick Fadgen
• Andre Turner
• Andy Roberts
• Bobby “Bingo” Smith
• Regina Street

“Throughout my career in sports journalism, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing some of the greatest athletes in our city. It’s truly an honor to be recognized alongside them in the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame,” Jarvis Greer said. “Having hosted the Memphis Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for several years, being inducted at this year’s event will be a humbling experience for me.”

After more than 43 years covering sports for Action News 5, Jarvis retired at the end of 2022. Jarvo served as sports director since 1991, following the retirement of his mentor Jack Eaton.
