Jason Kelce Breaks Down What’s ‘So Impressive’ About Taylor Swift
Jason Kelce is in awe of Taylor Swift’s artistry.
The retired Philadelphia Eagles center praised the pop icon — who’s dating his younger brother, Travis Kelce — in a Thursday show on Philadelphia station SportsRadio 94WIP, where he is making weekly guest appearances.
“She is just so talented, it’s ridiculous,” Jason Kelce said. “Not only as a singer, a songwriter — production-wise, she’s so involved in every facet of it.
“And when I think of the big names in music that have sustained over such a long time the way she has, and it feels like all of them kind of get to that,” he continued, before comparing her to rock icon Bruce Springsteen.
Host Joe DeCamara chimed in to say he thought that decades from now, Swift would be considered a music great on the level of Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Paul McCartney.
Kelce continued his praise of Swift, saying that her control over her artistry is what’s “so impressive” about her.
“She’s so involved in all of it,” he said, adding that she wears different hats as a business manager and a producer.
Jason Kelce has publicly shown his support for Swift since his brother, a Kansas City Chiefs tight end, began dating the singer last year.
The former NFL player and his wife, Kylie Kelce, attended some of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts over the summer.

Swift took home seven awards at the MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday.
While accepting the award for Video of the Year, she praised Travis Kelce for supporting her directing work on a video for the song “Fortnight.”
“When I would finish a take, and I’d say ‘cut,’ and we’d be done with that take, I would always just hear someone cheering and, like, ‘whoo’ from across the studio,” she said. “And that one person was my boyfriend, Travis. Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic.”
