Jason Kelce broke a world record on Monday Night Football before the Houston Texans vs Dallas Cowboys game | NFL News – Times of India
Jason Kelce is the legendary veteran-turned-TV-analyst who in March retired from playing center for the Philadelphia Eagles. The studly offensive lineman – he earned seven Pro Bowl selections and six first-team All-Pro honors – was a key contributor to the Eagles’ Super Bowl LII victory. Now, he can be seen on national TV via ESPN‘s “Monday Night Countdown,” showcasing his humor, personality, and football expertise. But on Monday, Kelce added an unexpected accolade to his post-football resume: a world record.
Jason Kelce broke a world record in a ‘Tailgate Gauntlet’ challenge
ESPN commentator Jason Kelce broke a world record in a ‘Tailgate Gauntlet‘ challenge against YouTube stars ‘Dude Perfect‘. Before the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans faced off, Marcus Spears greeted Kelce with a hug. The challenge consisted of cornhole, ladder toss, and tossing a football through a tire.
Kelse struggled to catch up against ‘Dude Perfect’ in the competition. He was unable to throw the football with enough strength, or he also lacked enough strength, and he was unable to catch a blindfolded football, a feat is really hard to be done. Kelce caught a hot dog wiener in bun at great distance of 167 feet and broke the world record. He was at one end of the field, and a member of Dude Perfect was on the other end, hurling wieners as far and hard as he could. On his wide first try, Kelce caught the wiener precisely on the second attempt, holding the finished hot dog. Kelce did a victory lap afterward after setting the record.
Kelce, along with Van Pelt, Clark, and Spears, promptly shared their thoughts with the rest of the group upon his return. “That’s a world record?” Van Pelt asked dryly to which Kelce replied, “Hot dog’s in the bun – I got it.” Van Pelt then retorted, “When you and I talked back in the Spring, is this what you pictured? This what you pictured?” Spears couldn’t contain his laughter as Kelce shook his head before replying: “This is why they pay me the big bucks.”

Van Pelt laughed as Kelce showed his great catching ability to snatch a hot dog wiener with a bun from a distance of over 160 feet, while Spears hugged the legend. In the countdown to the game between Cowboys and Texans, interesting, Kelce and Clark received several criticisms in social media of their outfits, several highlighting Clark’s choice of suit coming in two different textures.
