Jennifer Aniston fans were reminded of Jane Fonda after her latest photoshoot for a fitness magazine – Times of India

Jennifer Aniston‘s latest photo shoot for fitness brand Pvolve has fans of the 55-year-old actress in a tizzy. Fans have been comparing the athletic shape of the actress to that of legendary icon Jane Fonda of the 1980s. Unlike Fonda’s bright workout gear, however, Aniston settled on a sleeker look in jet black. One of the fans even nicknames her “Jennifer Fonda” in the comments.
And of course, there’s Jane Fonda, who decades ago was spoken of as a fitness guru who revolutionized millions of exercises done conveniently at home courtesy of video formats played on those then-newfangled VCRs.And for her followers, Aniston’s toned body and exercise poses were reminiscent of when Fonda first brought her sweat-inducing routines to the fore.
In new photos, Aniston showed off arms toned in a black bodysuit as she sported an obviously fresh tan which she likely got at her Malibu home. She also shared a short video of herself in behind-the-scenes prep work for working out: cool-off session with big fan after sweatiest session of all. Known for her love of fitness, Aniston said that she follows the 16:8 diet, which is based on intermittent fasting. She further stated that she does Pvolve workouts five times a week.
She endorses a fitness program titled Pvolve, which is low-impact functional fitness using resistance-based equipment. The approach is meant to build strength while being gentle on the body.
Aniston’s exercise routine actually goes hand in hand with the classes for cardio purposes so that she can be fit without exerting too much of her body. She has mentioned about not working out effectively during her younger days, when a person would mainly try pushing himself too hard by doing hours on the StairMaster. She does not believe that hours-long cardio sessions are needed to get an effective workout.
Aniston specified such an approach had burnt her out to a certain extent, as well as during a therapy session, she was gifted with a Barbie doll kinesio-taped in order to portray the cumulative effects that happened within these last 15 years. She says that the workouts are less taxing on the body because she is training with friends or listening to music like Lizzo, Rihanna, and hip-hop music from the 90s in order to keep things entertaining.
She further talks about how Pvolve has enabled her to regain much of the health she lost from a two-year-old back injury: the program helps her body in recovery and healing. According to Aniston, as they age, their workouts need to be both exciting and more gentle on their bodies. She has encouraged friends to try it and wishes she discovered the program 20 years ago when she was pushing her body too hard.
An important thing for Aniston is not ageing or plastic surgery but health and happiness. For this reason, the actress finds peace in meditation and loves spending time outdoors with her dogs.
As Friends celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, Aniston continues to inspire fans, first in her career and then in her message of health and wellness.
