Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage broken beyond repair: Report

If rumours and reports are anything to go by, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have hit a rough patch in their relationship. The chances of reconciliation between the two appear to be dwindling as divorce rumours continue to swirl.

An insider close to the couple told Page Six that while Lopez remains “smitten” with Affleck, she has dedicated this summer to “health, happiness, and joy” for herself and her family. The source also revealed that the chances of reconciliation between the two seem slimmer by the day.

“Nothing can break her spirit,” the source added. “She wants to have a summer full of fun and laughter.”

Earlier this month, the entertainment portal reported that their marriage has been “over for months.” Lopez seemed to confirm this by posting a clip from her 2021 music video for “Cambia el Paso” on Instagram on Sunday.

The empowering song includes lyrics that, when translated from Spanish to English, say, “Her life is better now without him… She doesn’t need anyone to be well / She does not fail, she does not fail.” Lopez also asserts, “He doesn’t deserve to have her in his arms.”

Despite ongoing rumours, Lopez, 54, has been enjoying her summer without Affleck, 51, though both continue to wear their wedding rings. Over the July 4th weekend, Lopez was spotted looking happy and carefree while biking with her longtime friend and vocal coach, Stevie Mackey, in the Hamptons, N.Y. She was also seen shopping in Bridgehampton with her manager, Benny Medina, and spending time with her child Emme. 

Meanwhile, Affleck has reportedly moved out of their Beverly Hills home and is now living in a rental in Brentwood, Calif. He has also been spending significant time with his three children — Violet, 18, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12.

In February, Lopez spoke about their reunion and July 2022 marriage on Australia’s Kyle and Jackie O Radio Show. “I fell in love with the love of my life [earlier in life] and for whatever reasons, we needed to grow and do other things,” she said. “We both went off and had children with other people and other relationships, but you know in my mind I kind of had it like, ‘Oh, that was kind of the one.’”
