Job seekers have another tool to find employment in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) – Finding a job could be right at your finger tips in Tuscaloosa thanks to a new kiosk like the one inside the city municipal court building.

West Alabama Works leaders say there are 20 of these kiosks spread out over Tuscaloosa in places like the public library and the county courthouse. The idea behind the kiosks is make it easier for people doing business in those locations to check out job possibilities or even training.

“West Alabama Works is all about workforce development and so we’re trying to help individuals looking for a job find employment and also help our businesses and industries to locate employees, so we’re trying to put kiosks in places where individuals can apply and find employment,” said Tonya Mills, West Alabama Works Education & Employment Project Manager.

Tonya Mills says about 500 jobs are posted on the kiosks, and there are plans to add another six kiosks in the county high schools in Tuscaloosa.
