John Glenn International Airport reports record summer travel
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — John Glenn International Airport has helped Central Ohioans get where they need to go this summer, and the numbers show it.
The airport experienced its busiest summer on record, reporting nearly one million passengers per month.
This past June and July marked the airport’s highest passenger traffic months ever.
Even more travelers are expected to come through the airport in the coming years as a new terminal is also in the works for CMH, which isexpected to accommodate 51% more passengers daily
Construction for that new terminal is set to begin early next year, with the project on schedule to open in 2029.
