The 573-member Disabled American veterans Ozie Boler Chapter 21 (DAV#21) of Vallejo recently installed their 2024-25 Officers at the Vallejo Veterans Memorial Building at 420 Admiral Callaghan Lane. Vallejo City Councilmember Rozzana Verder-Aliga was recently awarded the 2024 U.S. Rep. Mike Thompson Legislator’s Legacy Award for her 29 years of elected service during the Napa Solano Central Labor Council’s annual recognition dinner held in Fairfield.
At the annual Firefighters Appreciation Day on June 29 at the Vallejo waterfront, Buck Kamphausen, owner of USA World Classics at 1525 Sonoma Blvd., proudly showed off a dozen of his restored fire engines including the 1902 LaFrance Steamer, 1922 Pierce Arrow Hose Car, and the amphibious DUKW fireboat.
