Kaia Gerber Embraces Flirty Fashion in a Whimsical Polka-Dot Gown

Kaia Gerber is a loyal minimalist, demonstrated by her carefully curated wardrobe full of black, white, and navy styles. No matter if she’s running errands or walking the red carpet, the model and actor knows how to deliver a simple look with maximum impact—with an exception every now and then, of course.

Fresh off her vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Gerber took a break from her no-fuss fits, opting to go big and bold instead. With that in mind, there was no other person to tap but Alessandro Michele, who has since left behind his ornate Gucci collections to become the new creative director of Valentino. Just this fall, he debuted his first collection for the house, and as Gerber proves, the looks translate just as well on the red carpet as they do on the runway.

For W Magazine’s Annual Best Performances Party, the Bottoms actor slipped into a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and mixed patterns. The piece’s white fitted bodice was contrasted with black polka-dots, while its black flowing skirt bore white polka-dots. The contradictory prints met at the hip, where a bright turquoise bow welcomed a cascading ribbon of white fabric accented by dark polka-dots, as well as a thigh-high leg slit.

Gerber complemented the look with an equally glamorous ‘do. She opted for sleek, blown-out curls that cascaded romantically down her shoulders, tucking one side of her hair behind her ear to show off a pair of tasteful baguette earrings.

Smokey brown eyeshadow, defined lashes, and sculpted brows added to her luxe aesthetic, while a glossy pink lip acted as the finishing touch. Later in the night, the model mingled with some of her fellow young starlets, including close friends Ayo Edebiri and Rachel Sennott.
