Kate Moss and Zara Debut the Party Capsule of Your Dreams

Kate Moss and Zara have joined forces to create the ultimate party capsule—just in time to celebrate the holidays and ring in 2025. The collection takes cues from Moss’s own personal wardrobe: Think bias-cut floral dresses, slinky blouses, and tasseled mini-dresses, all embodying Moss’s bohemian spirit along with her signature model glam.

“I love it when I see something from a collection I’ve designed,” said Kate Moss in an email statement to Bazaar.Oh my God, she’s wearing the dress. It’s always a thrill. I still see women wearing pieces from collections I’ve done in the past. That’s what got me thinking that we should do it again.”

This marks the first collaboration Moss has created with high-street label Zara, though she dipped her toe in the design realm with a wildly popular Topshop capsule in the early ’00s. For the Zara collection, Moss worked closely with her friend and collaborator, stylist Katy England. “I love being in the room with Katy and saying, No, I think this should be another way. Having a voice is amazing after modeling. It’s really exciting seeing something special coming back and looking exactly how you wanted it.”

The collection references plenty of 1970s fashion luminaries, including Led Zeppelin, Charlotte Rampling, and Lauren Hutton. Moss also reimagined some of her favorite pieces for the line, like a 1930s-style tea dress that is equal parts elegant and timeless, which she styled with a pair of leopard flats.

Although the collection is centered around party dressing, that doesn’t mean it’s all about mini-dresses and heels. There’s a classic ivory metallic blazer you could pair with crisp wide-leg trousers for work, and a tie-neck scarf maxidress you could wear to your next black-tie wedding. A semi-sheer floral blouse hits on the boho trend; try it with velvet trousers for a ’70s ensemble that would work for day or night.

What makes the collection so appealing is its range, though that might depend on where you are. As Moss puts it, “In Paris, I feel like you can dress up during the day much more than in London. In Paris, this is [considered] daywear, in London probably a little more night-time. In New York, you might get away with wearing it during the day, too.”

Of course, the capsule is debuting just as holiday party invitations are beginning to hit our calendars. Ultimately, how you style it is up to you.
