Kate Moss put her designer hat back on for her first Zara collection — and the Glastonbury-ready capsule is finally available to shop online.
For the fall/winter “party capsule” collection, the 50-year-old supermodel teamed with longtime stylist, Katy England, to design the range with the Spanish fast-fashion label. Priced from $36 to $999, the 38-piece collab nods to Moss’ disco-meets-rock ‘n’ roll boho wardrobe alongside her own fashion heroes, including ’70s icons Charlotte Rampling and Lauren Hutton, Led Zeppelin and Studio 54, per a release. (See proof in the gallery above.)
Moss’ stylish touches are seen in 1930s-inspired silk tea dresses, romantic pintucked blouses with bejeweled buttons and A-line pleated skirts alongside Studio 54-ready beaded mini dresses, breezy floral scarf tops, snake print leather shorts, faux leather jackets and underpinnings in leopard print, heeled leather sandals and more.
Other ‘70s-chic silhouettes ranging from belted palazzo jumpsuits and lace-up velvet pants to sparkling mini dresses and metallic jacquard jackets. Rounding out the collection are footwear and accessories such as animal print ballet flats, black ankle booties, rhinestone bags, snake hoop earrings and belts, maxi stone rings and other statement pieces.
“The collection is sexy and fun. It’s rock and roll, but in a soft and elegant way, with chic and luxurious fabrics,” Moss says in a statement.
Adds England, “Kate’s always been known for her iconic evening looks, which became the focus of this collection: clothes for everyone to have fun in.”
To bring the collection to life, Moss tapped longtime collaborators, photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, to shoot the dreamy campaign and lookbook in London.
The Kate Moss x Zara capsule comes 17 years after the British model’s highly successful Topshop collaboration, which instantly sold out when it debuted in 2007. (This editor particularly remembers the black sequined silk dresses and beaded LBDs, similar to the ones in the new Zara range.) Although the final Topshop collection was released in 2014, many pieces can still be found on eBay.
And just like Moss’ previous designs, expect many statement dresses, bags and accessories to sell out from the new Zara line.
