Katy Perry is making a statement.

The former American Idol host, 39, turned heads in an eye-catching all-black ensemble while attending the Balenciaga Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024-2025 show during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday, June 26.

Perry donned a lengthy black coat that fell right above her ankles sans a top, showing off her skin from her neck down to below her belly button. She also wore low-cut black ripped nylon bottoms that transitioned into heels, pairing the look with black sunglasses and a sleek ponytail for the event.

While discussing the look with Women’s Wear Daily, the singer shared that the look “came about” because she wanted to make a statement during her first Balenciaga show.

“I wanted to be streamlined, sexy, sensual. Simple but chic,” she told the outlet.

However, while her outfit showed a lot of skin, Perry shared that she also wanted to make sure that some things were still covered up.

“I wanted to wear my nylon right above my c-section scar,” she told WWD. “That’s the lowest I was gonna go. Right there.”

The pop star, known for her unique fashion style, has been trailblazing across several events during Paris Fashion Week and has shown that she’s not afraid to show off a little skin.

Earlier this week, she walked the runway at Vogue World: Paris in an archival Noir Kei Ninomiya dress with geometric shapes and tulle floral embellishments on the skirt. The barely there garment showed off several patches of Perry’s skin, but she confidently strutted around the plaza for the VIP guests.

She also used her Paris Fashion Week fashion to tease her upcoming single “Woman’s World,” off her highly-anticipated sixth studio album. She wore a one-shoulder red minidress with a mega-long train that contained lyrics from the summer anthem.

The train reportedly measured over 200 yards, as estimated by the social media account Pop Tingz, which shared a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) of the pop star waving to fans and strutting inside the building. Rolling Stone reported that the mega train stretched to 500 ft.

It contained several words in bold white letters including, “It’s a woman’s world and you’re lucky to be living in it” — a line that she already previewed in a snippet on social media.

The new single is scheduled to be released on July 11.
