For Kaylin Mickella Thomson, a “magical” future might include working in public relations in the hospitality industry, particularly in Florida, putting her experiences at Walt Disney World and other amusement parks to good use.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Michael Thomson. Her mother is the former Patricia Ilene Edwards.

At the Covington academy, she was in the National Science, Social Studies, Mathematics and English Honor societies, was a student minister, active in the theater and performing arts programs and was the recipient of the Advanced Placement Scholarship award.

At SMU, she is a resident assistant and received the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Board scholarship and the Second Century scholarship for academic achievement. She has also worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the university’s mathematics department.

Kaylin has worked with the Disney College Program at the Orlando theme park and as a communication supervisor at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington.
