Kiko Kostadinov Launches First Collaborative Capsule With Levi’s For Summer 2024 | Fashion | Clash Magazine Music News, Reviews & Interviews

Kiko Kostadinov is a rare and inimitable talent. Graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2016 the Bulgarian-born-London-bred designer was the first menswear student to be awarded British Fashion Council NewGen Men support and has since seen his independent label grow into a mini-empire that spans menswear, womenswear, diffusion lines, fragrances and a series of outstanding collaborations, the latest of which is with American denim giant Levi’s. 

One of the most highly anticipated collaborations of the year, fans of Kiko Kostadinov have been keeping an eye out for the Levi’s drop since the label teased a denim tag on its Instagram stories last December. The partnership will consist of a series of collaborative capsule collections, each featuring pieces which were presented as an integrated part of Kiko’s mainline runway collections during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.

For the menswear side, Kiko Kostadinov has reinterpreted archival silhouettes from Levi’s Engineered Jeans, an innovative offshoot from Levi’s that uses an innovative approach to denim which involves twisted side seams and a darted yoke to create a design that maximises comfort and practicality. Key denim styles like a jacket and jeans are reborn through Kiko’s eyes with a mix of avant-garde, conceptual design and utilitarian functionality with Bulgarian-inspired diamond inserts and hybridised pieces like a jersey cardigan that pulls influence from classic sportswear and western styles. 

Laura and Deanna Fanning bring their unique take on womenswear to Levi’s Engineered Jeans through their signature high-octane futurism and innovative cuts and contours. A three-piece denim suit stands out amongst the softness of washed fabrics, fuzzy textures and small panelled patterns.
