Kim Kardashian’s Fashion Transformation Might Be Tied to Changes in Her Professional Life
While Kim Kardashian has been making moves in Hollywood with roles in American Horror Story: Delicate and the upcoming All’s Fair with Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Glenn Close, the 43-year-old reality star is still banking on her legal career. Fans might begin to see a fashion transformation from Kim as she embarks on another chapter in her career.
“Kim’s passion and drive to become a bona fide lawyer is still going strong and her plan is to take the bar exam in February,” an In Touch Weekly insider shared. “She knows passing the bar will be huge, but she also wants her image to be more traditional, so she’s getting all sorts of mood boards together for her new, more professional look.”
Kim has continued to advocate for prison reform, most recently with Erik and Lyle Menendez, who murdered their parents in 1989 under the claims of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. She visited the brothers at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, California on Sept. 21 and wrote a personal essay about the experience for NBC News. “We are all products of our experiences. They shape who we were, who we are, and who we will be,” she wrote. “Physiologically and psychologically, time changes us, and I doubt anyone would claim to be the same person they were at 18.”
The Kardashians star is taking her legal moves seriously which also means a “toned down and classier” fashion statement moving forward, according to In Touch Weekly. The insider believes that her wardrobe would involve “less glitter, less hoop earrings and more diamonds, more pearls and more power suits.” Kim knows that “she needs to dress for the job she wants and she’s having fun creating her new look.”
It will be another chapter in Kim’s style evolution over the years from her early days as Paris Hilton’s assistant to becoming a fashion trendsetter. “I love my worst moments now. I look back and have to laugh; it was so much fun. It was who I was, what I could afford, and what I knew at the time,” she told Vogue Arabia in 2018. Her next round of looks might usher in another wave of power dressing — from Hollywood to the courtroom.
