Kirtland brothers graduate from University of Cincinnati’s business college
Finn and Bowen Alexy of Kirtland graduated from the University of Cincinnati, Carl H. Lindner College of Business on April 27, according to a release.
Bowen received Cum Laude Honors with his bachelor’s degree majoring in marketing and minoring in professional sales. Bowen was named to the Carl H. Lindner College of Business Spring Semester Dean’s list with a term GPA of 3.67. Bowen received eight Dean’s list recognitions for all of the semesters that he attended at the University.
In fall 2021, Bowen became one of the youngest to represent an organization at the International Brazing and Soldering Conference in Denver Colorado, gaining 18 professional development hours relating to his studies and company representation.
In summer 2022, Bowen traveled on a philanthropic visit to Puerto Maldonado, Peru, learning the gold mining techniques used by the Artisanal Gold Council. Bowen focused his efforts on understanding and improving the working conditions of miners in the area.
In December 2023, Bowen was inducted into the University’s National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) achieving certificates in foundational leadership.
Finn received Magna Cum Laude Honors with his bachelor’s degree majoring in Entrepreneurship.
Finn was named to the Carl H. Lindner College of Business Dean’s List for the Spring Semester of 2024, with a term GPA of 4.0 across 17 credit hours worth of classes, and was awarded with faculty honors.
Finn received five total Dean’s List recognitions for all of the semesters that he attended, ending his college career with a cumulative GPA of 3.839. Finn was the champion of the inaugural BTS x UC Innovation Challenge, and completed a semester as an Undergraduate Researcher under Lindner professor Janis Walter.
Finn received professor nominations for the Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award after working as a consultant for a diversity-focused clothing brand started in Cincinnati, and for starting his own artistic venture, “Finn Alexy Originals.”
Finn was initiated into the National Society of Leadership & Success, and achieved all of this at 20 years old.
Both Alexy brothers will enter into their family’s business, Alexy Metals, as Chief Operating Officers (COO), following their graduation from the University of Cincinnati.
Alexy Metals is a Willoughby,-based brazing alloy distribution center and precious metal refinery. Alexy Metals is poised for growth with their unique position specializing in the refining of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, machining custom laser-cut braze foils, and the manufacturing of industrial braze rings following the acquisition of Tampa, Florida-based company AMP Rings, in 2023.
