‘Know Your District’ Job Fair focuses on opportunities in Cenla

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – The Louisiana Workforce Commission recently organized the inaugural “Know Your District” Job Fair and Open House, focusing on opportunities within District “D.” This event, hosted by the Rapides Parish Police Jury District “D” Representative and the Louisiana Workforce Commission Business Services Representative, aimed to showcase new job prospects in the area.

The fair provided a platform for applicants to interact directly with various local businesses throughout Central Louisiana. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with employers, gaining insights into available positions and how their skills could align with the needs of businesses within Rapides Parish.

“We aim to foster collaboration and raise awareness about the wealth of workforce resources available within our community,” explained Sharon Neal, Executive Director of Economic Workforce Development. “This event represents a joint effort between the parish, state and local dignitaries. By adopting an open house format, we hope to highlight the Rapides American Job Center as the central hub for these opportunities.”
