Kognisjon Bryggeri celebrates 1 year in business with new beer

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – Kognisjon Bryggeri is celebrating one year in business this weekend.

Brewery staff said the first year has been successful, but has featured many changes.

The brewery relocated from Ishpeming to Third Street in Marquette, as well as added three new tap beers. Head Brewer Kris Thompson said you can purchase a new Norwegian beer to celebrate the anniversary this weekend.

“It’s a Norwegian farmhouse ale. It is a traditional home brew style ale that they would make in Norway. It is made as close to the way as they would make it there as I could,” said Thompson.

The Norwegian beer will be available all weekend.

The brewery will also have happy hour specials all weekend.
