Lakers fans react to Austin Reaves’ big game versus the Kings
Over the last couple of years, it seems as if Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves has periodically reached new plateaus as far as his production and overall game. His shooting efficiency has been up and down this season, but he has raised his scoring average for a third straight game and has steadily become more and more valuable to the team.
He made the game-winning layup versus the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day, and he then followed it up with one of the best games of his young career. With LeBron James out due to an illness on Saturday against the Sacramento Kings, Reaves filled the void with 26 points on 9-of-16 shooting, a career-high 16 assists and six rebounds in a 132-122 win.
Lakers fans quickly fell in love with Reaves when he started to emerge as a good player a couple of years ago, and they flocked to X (formerly Twitter) after Saturday’s victory to puff their chests out about the undrafted Arkansas native.
