Political and conservative circles are abuzz with speculation over what Lara Trump will do next in her career.
Trump side-stepped out of the political spotlight last month when she resigned as co-chair of the Republican National Committee and soon after took her name out of consideration for the opening Senate seat in Florida.
One thing, however, has stayed consistent – fitness is a cornerstone of Lara’s life.
The mother-of-two’s shredded abs and defined biceps have led many to question how she keeps so in shape.
DailyMail.com sat down with her at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida to discuss her workout routine through a crazy 2024 and gain insight into her new fitness clothing line.
Lara launched her fitness apparel brand on November 19, explaining how she had to push it off for several months while helping run her father-in-law’s presidential campaign at the helm of the RNC.
Inspiration, she claims, comes from a show of strength and women empowerment, saying she wanted those wearing her clothes to know that they ‘could do anything the guys could do.’
Even if it’s only 20 minutes, Trump says she will make sure she gets to the gym whenever she gets a chance. And on those time-tight days, her advice is to at least hit some push-ups, pull-ups and squats.
‘I think you have to make it a priority,’ she said when asked how she manages to fit-in fitness.
Lara Trump spoke with DailyMail.com about her apparel brand LT and how she makes fitness a priority despite a hectic schedule. LT is unveiling leggings and bra tank top sets in the color MAGA Red in the first drop of 2025 after launching in November
Lara insists pull-ups are a must-do at the gym because they work so many different muscles
‘They say it takes two weeks to make the habit. I always encourage people, especially right now at the beginning of the year, just focus on getting two weeks of trying to do something,’ Trump advised.
‘It doesn’t have to be a lot – something every day, and then you get used to that. And then when you don’t have it, you actually miss it.’
She then took DailyMail.com around the fitness center and movement studio at Trump’s Jupiter golf club to exhibit how she makes sure she gets moving every day.
Hammer curls and meticulous bicep curls help give Trump her signature arm muscles, but she advised anyone trying to emulate her routine to make sure they work their shoulders to get the defined look she touts.
And to get shredded abs, high, low and side planks are a must.
Daily squats are also essential, Trump claimed, since legs and glutes make up several of the largest muscles in the body and must be maintained.
She revealed that one of the biggest time wasters at the gym is spending time staring and scrolling on a cell phone – like she joked her husband Eric does and ends up doubling the time needed for his gym sessions.
Beyond the gym, Trump said she also will try to make it to Crossfit and pilates classes and will compete in triathlons to provide variety and make sure that staying in shape is fun.
Inspiration for the rainbow-like ombre set, Lara Trump said, came from her childhood cartoon hero She-ra Princess of Power, who she said taught her that she ‘could do anything the guys could do’

Before the launch, Trump already had a very busy year.
On March 8 she was elected co-chair of the Republican National Committee to help lead the ultimately successful reelection campaign of Donald Trump, as well as get the GOP top hold onto the House and regain the Senate.
She traveled the country for the campaign and other duties involved with the RNC. But ultimately resigned on December 9, claiming ‘what I intended to do has been done.’
Speculation immediately emerged that she would seek to fill the Florida Senate seat opening when Sen. Marco Rubio steps down to become the next Secretary of State. But she took her name out of consideration for the Senate seat, and said with her new ventures this year, ‘you’ll be seeing more of me not less of me.’
Trump said she will announce after inauguration later this month what’s next for her career, but assured it will be forward facing.
And it seems she has placed a good bit of focus on her fitness venture, as well as her music.
Trump has released in the last few years covers and original songs, including collaborations with mainstream and independent musical artists.
She performed at her father-in-law’s annual New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago this year a cover of Tom Petty’s I Won’t Back Down.
DailyMail.com learned she is coming out with more music in the New Year and she previewed that one song is a collaboration with a well-known rapper.
But while she finds music fun, fitness is clearly a passion, and she shared her excitement in venturing into the fashion space.
Her self-named fitness brand was released with three different colors in leggings and crop top tank top sets, as well as USA and LT branded t-shirts, muscle tees and ball caps.

She said the color story has roots in patriotism but also comes from the desire to debut a brand that is more fun to wear to the gym or her favorite workout class. It was also important to her that the clothing translated to other activities – like running errands or chasing her kids.
The mother-of-two divulged that sometimes it’s a workout just taking care of her children: Luke, 7, and Carolina, 5.
At the 2017 inauguration of her father-in-law, Trump was pregnant with her and Eric’s first child. This year, the family of four will be attending inauguration together.
‘They’re all very comfortable. They’re great to work out in,’ Trump detailed of her sets.
‘Also great for moms out there who want to look cool while you’re dropping your kids off at school, and then maybe you’re gonna go run some errands afterward, meet your friends for coffee, grab lunch, whatever it is.’
‘I always found that I’m transitioning from one world to another very quickly throughout the day, so if I have something I can wear that will take me through several different iterations of my day., that’s a good thing,’ she added.
The LT brand’s legging and tank top set colors are black; red, white and blue ombre; and orange, yellow, pink and blue ombre.
Many have compared the red, white and blue outfit to popular summer popsicle Bomb Pops, which in hindsight Trump wishes she named the set instead of ‘America Ombre.’

Lara, donning a bright bra and legging set, divulged that her next color drop will be called MAGA Red.
The colorful leggings and top, Trump explained, was inspired by her childhood cartoon hero She-Ra Princess of Power, who rode a pegasus with the pink, yellow and blue rainbow-like colors on the wings and an orange tail and mane.
‘You might recognize the colors,’ Trump told DailyMail.com of the colorful set.
‘If you think back to She-Ra Princess of Power – now, this is throwing it way back – but when I was a kid growing up and would watch cartoons, right after He-Man, which my brother would watch, She-Ra would come on. And she was this just badass chick who was wielding a sword, riding on a Pegasus.’
‘I thought she was amazing, and she could do anything the guys could do,’ Trump said. ‘So I was like, that’s what I want to be like. That’s what is going to inspire me.’
‘When I thought about what I wanted to do for this line, and something that I felt like could continue to inspire me in my workouts, I said I’ve got to make colors that represent She-Ra Princess of Power.’
‘So we call it the hero collection.’

Trump’s bra crop tops run $85 and the matching leggings go for $98. Her LT branded tops are on the more affordable side at $45 and her caps are $40.
She acknowledged that her legging and bra sets are at a higher price point – most comparable to fitness brands like Lululemon and Alo – but said it was vital to have her products made in America, which many times comes with a higher price tag.
‘It’s very hard to have ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ on your products. But it was very important to me,’ Lara Trump said.
‘If you make it overseas, you cut your prices in half or even more,’ she said. ‘But I really want to do the ‘Hire American, Buy American, Made in the U.S.A.’ That’s what Donald Trump stands for, obviously, as his daughter-in-law, that’s what I stand for, as well.’
‘I want to see American workers making the products.’
‘It is challenging, because you have to have a higher price point on all of your products,’ Trump added.
She continued: ‘But I think it’s one of the things that I’m looking forward to over the next four years – is that Donald Trump has obviously prioritized bringing manufacturing back to America, making sure we get more of our workers back to work in this country, moving entire companies, incentivizing them to look back at the United States as a place to make their products.’
‘I would love four years from now to come back, sit down with you and say, ‘It’s so much easier and it’s so much less expensive to make something in America.’ That’s my hope and I know Donald Trump has that same goal in mind.’
