Laredo College to hold spring job fair Thursday

LAREDO, Tx. (KGNS) – Job seekers interested in new career opportunities are invited to take part in a job fair.

Laredo College in collaboration with Workforce Solutions and the City of Laredo are hosting the Laredo Cares Spring Job fair this Thursday.

Roughly 60 employees will set up at the LC gymnasium to meet with potential employees and answer questions they have regarding qualifications or job requirements.

Brianna Castro from the Laredo College Workforce Development center says job seekers are invited to explore some of the open positions.

“So, we’re looking for any type of individual that’s looking into employment,” said Castro. “It could be a recent graduate, it could be anybody that’s been into the workforce for a really long time looking into changing their career paths. We’re going to have type of employers from the health, from the education and government jobs.”

Castro adds that job seekers should come dressed to impress and with their resumes in hand.

The event is taking place Thursday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Laredo College McIntosh Campus Gymnasium.
