Las Vegas heavy metal festival canceled due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas’ heavy metal festival “Sick New World” has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, festival organizers announced.
“It is with great disappointment that we announce that Sick New World will no longer take place in Las Vegas on April 12, 2025,” a statement on their website reads.
The festival, which was slated for next spring, toted many highly anticipated acts in its lineup, including Metallica, Evanescence, and Queens of the Stone Age.
Acid Bath was slated for a reunion performance, marking their first back together since 1997. Linkin Park was also set to debut in the Las Vegas Valley with new lead vocalist, Emily Armstrong.
Organizers added that they add their thanks to the fans who planned to attend and to “stay tuned” for more information.

Tickets will be refunded to the original payment method, organizers added.
FOX5 has reached out for more details on the festival’s cancellation but has yet to hear back.
