Lauren Goodger shared a gym update with Instagram followers on Wednesday after taking three and a half weeks away from her fitness regime because of a health scare.

The former TOWIE star, 37, shared a mirror selfie and revealed her first day back at the gym had left her feeling ‘strong’.

Lauren sported a baggy black T-shirt and loosely fitting white shorts as summer temperatures soared across the United Kingdom.

The TV personality tied her hair in a loose ponytail and went makeup-free following her first workout in almost a month.

She captioned the post: ‘After 3.5 weeks of zero training and diet… today was my 1st day back and I felt strong! I wasn’t sure how I was going to be, but I’m back!!’

‘Had a little health scare I’ve been training got 2.5 months most days and then went to 0 due to life stress and other distractions and also it’s 6 weeks holidays!’

‘Day 1 everyday always come back and start again!’

It comes after Lauren revealed her daughter Larose was rushed to hospital after struggling with breathing problems.

The reality TV star shared the scary news with her Instagram followers earlier this month that she’d brought the tot to A&E after struggling with a cough and a high temperature.

Larose, two – who Lauren shares with ex-boyfriend Charles Drury – has been regularly in and out of hospital in recent months, and Lauren later shared that her little girl was suffering from viral tonsillitis.

Taking to Instagram, the reality star shared a video of Larose with the accompanying caption: ‘My happy girl back in A&E. Honestly never known so much illness in short space of time!

‘I don’t know what’s wrong but she is coughing, temp and breathing sucking in. Three hours down and wow my head and body is aching! Can’t wait to get us home, her birthday in two days.’

In the upload, Larose was seen playing with toys while sitting in a waiting room.

Little more than 12 hours later, Lauren updated her social media, and explained that because her condition is viral and not bacterial, Larose was not given any antibiotics.

The doting mother wrote: ‘Thank you everyone for your messages of concern. I’ve been showing and reading them to Larose.’

‘She has virial (sic) tonsillitis (never hear of this one before) so no antibiotics cos it’s ”viral” but it’s the breathing that’s worrying me the most.’

‘We back home but may have go back just sitting with and she’s a happy girl in herself (sic).’

‘So much to do today for her birthday tomorrow. Needed go out and get bits like wrapping paper and cards and I can’t do much got my baby girl poorly (sic) xx’

‘Also so much of her presents to set up!’

It comes just a month after she gave fans a health update about Larose after the tot was rushed to hospital again over breathing issues.

She shared the update in June with a snap of Larose’s pram in the waiting room and later another one of the tot in her hospital bed.

A day later, Lauren updated her fans assuring Larose was now ‘much better’ and wasn’t kept in the hospital after the checks.

Explaining it was a virus, the mum added it was probably the worst one the little one has ever had until now, making it a very scary experience.
