Lawton Police Officers Association hosting golf tournament to support youth sports

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – The Lawton Police Officers Association has created a non-profit geared towards supporting youth sports in the community.

To help raise money for that mission, they’re hosting the first LPOA Golf Tournament on June 3rd.

They have big plans for the money they hope to raise.

“We’re going to take in money and we’re going to donate it back to youth sports. I.E. on scholarships, maybe uniforms, if there’s children that can’t afford to pay the entry fees, we can scholarship them and pay them entry fees,” Association President Clay Houseman said.

Even though they already have enough teams signed up for the tournament you can still get involved by donating to the non-profit or by sponsoring the tourney.
