Leaked Dummy Units Of The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Highlight A Softer Design And More Refined Form Factor

Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its Galaxy S25 series, and it has been generating quite a lot of buzz ahead of its launch. The rumor mill seems to be churning in full swing, with many speculations and leaks giving away key information about the upcoming models. It seems to be that the Ultra model has been in the limelight for many of the reports. Earlier, tipsters gave away the colors of the new lineup, but there was a conflict with the color names. Now, a new leak has emerged, giving us a detailed look at the design changes that might be brought ahead in the flagship device.

Galaxy S25 Ultra leaked dummy units give away major design changes expected for the upcoming model

Samsung’s upcoming S series has garnered a lot of attention, especially with the company hinting at an earnings announcement about the launch happening in the first half of next year and a tipster suggesting that the S25 lineup would be coming out on January 22nd, 2025. Now, a tipster, Jukanlosreve, has shared on X dummy units of the Galaxy S25 Ultra that let us see in detail the design changes introduced in the premium model.

It has not been long since renders were shared about the changes expected in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Now, the dummy units tend to match up with earlier reports and renders about the company opting for rounded corners instead of its classic sharper edges. This design change is expected to not only give the phone a sleeker look but also improve the ergonomics of the Ultra model by making it easier to hold.

If comparison is to be drawn with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the design is less defined around the edges, giving it a softer feel and making it more comfortable to hold. The renders shared by Technizo Concept highlighted the same design overhaul, which makes it more likely that the design will make it to the final release.

It seems that Samsung is taking design inspiration from the Galaxy Notes series by opting for a balanced design with flatter sides and rounded corners. The dummy units also highlight the rear camera change brought ahead for the Galaxy S25 Ultra model that features concentric rings around the lenses, giving the camera module a more structured look.

Since the front of the dummy unit does not include a functional display, we assume the dummy units assess physical elements rather than test their features. Although the design changes presented match previous reports, until Samsung officially confirms it, all this information should be taken with a grain of salt. More details will emerge as the launch date approaches.
