Learfield Tabs Caroline Woods as General Manager, Red Wolves Sports Properties

JONESBORO, Ark. – Learfield, the exclusive multimedia rightsholder for Arkansas State University Athletics, has named Caroline Woods the new General Manager of its locally based team, Red Wolves Sports Properties.

As general manager, Woods will serve as the primary Learfield liaison related to the university’s comprehensive athletics multimedia rights agreement and corporate partner platform in addition to overseeing the Learfield Amplify seating team within Red Wolves Sports Properties. She will work closely with Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Jeff Purinton and the entire athletics administration on all aspects of the relationship between Learfield and Arkansas State Athletics.

“A native of Wynne, Ark., and the daughter of A-State alumni Andy and Leslie Boone, Caroline joins our Red Wolves Sports Properties team with deep ties to both the Northeast Arkansas community and Arkansas State University,” said Purinton. “She has excelled in her previous positions with Learfield and is well respected within college athletics and the multimedia rights industry. Her experience as a successful student-athlete will also be a great benefit, so we’re excited to have her and her family join our Red Wolves team and look forward to continuing our outstanding relationship with Learfield under her leadership.”

Woods brings significant industry experience to the Red Wolves Sports Properties team with more than six years in business development and partnership services at a pair of Learfield properties. She most recently served as Manager of Business Development on the Horned Frog Sports Properties team at TCU and held the same title with Missouri State Sports Properties prior to her time in Fort Worth.

Her journey within the Learfield family began in May of 2018, when she was hired as the Partnership Services Coordinator for Missouri State Sports Properties while working towards her master’s degree.

“Caroline has gained great experience while rising quickly within other Learfield properties and we’re excited to have her step into the GM role at Arkansas State,” Learfield Vice President of Sports Properties Mike Haake stated. “Her knowledge and understanding in our industry along with her ties to the Red Wolves community make her a perfect fit to connect their athletic department, business community and fans.”

Prior to completing her master’s in 2019, Woods earned her bachelor’s degree from MSU in 2017 shortly after leading the Bears to the Missouri Valley Conference Women’s Golf title. In addition to her parents being Arkansas State alumni, her father, Andy, also lettered in football for the Red Wolves.

“I am beyond excited to return to my roots in northeast Arkansas,” Woods exclaimed. “This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic, forward-thinking athletic department as well as our many terrific brand partners.”
