LevelK & Brick Lane Entertainment Sink Their Teeth Into Sean Cronin’s Vampire Horror ‘Bogieville’

EXCLUSIVE: International sales outfit LevelK and financing and production company Brick Lane Entertainment have boarded Bogieville, a new vampire horror flick directed by actor and director Sean Cronin (Give Them Wings).

Brick Lane Entertainment and LevelK will co-represent the film for North American distribution.

Described as “sinister” and “atmospheric” with strands of “comedic horror,” the film follows Jody and Ham, a young couple on the run after an unfortunate sequence of events. On their travels, they stumble upon a desolate trailer park, only to discover it is home to a nest of terrifying hillbilly vampires led by the formidable Madison. The park’s sinister caretaker, Crawford, persuades the couple to stay. But they soon learn of his tragic backstory — Madison has turned his twelve-year-old daughter Lily, dooming her to eternal childhood. As an intense power struggle unfolds between Madison and another vampire, Billy Cupps, the couple must navigate a treacherous world of supernatural terror and dark secrets.

Alongside his directing duties, Cronin also stars in the film. Cronin’s credits include roles in films like James Bond, The Mummy, Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation, Harry Potter, and Kill Kane. Joining him in Bogieville are Arifin Putra (The Raid 2: Berandal, Macabre), Eloise Lovell Anderson (Villain, The Hustle), Jonathan Hansler (Evil’s Evil Cousin, Frankenstein: Legacy), and newcomers Daniel P. Lewis and Poppie Jae Hughes.

“Directing Bogieville was an extraordinary experience, especially since I also played the main vampire, Madison while wearing full sclera black contact lenses and gnarly fangs,” Cronin said.

“I looked so terrifying that everyone on set did exactly what they were told! I fell in love with Henry P. Gravelle’s unique take on the vampire legend almost 15 years ago and pledged to bring his vision to life. Despite the challenges of recreating the deep South of the USA in rainy Surrey, England. I hope we pulled it off, but I’ll let the audience be the judge.”

The film was written by Henry P. Gravelle and produced by Cronin, Djonny Chen, and Ben Pickering for Magnificent Film & Television and Silent D Pictures. Executive producers are Todd Slater and Brandon Evans of Brick Lane Entertainment. The film is co-produced by Shooting Tiger Pictures.

Tine Klint, CEO of LevelK, added: “This is an unusual pick-up for LevelK’s main brand for international sales, but not unusual for our behind-the-scenes aggregation. With current market changes, our two divisions are working closely together on every title to maximize the film’s potential. Bogieville is an entertaining, scary yet fun watch with impressive production value considering the resources available.”
