CBS Sports Network’s continued coverage of the 2024 college football season features seven games for the Week 7 slate, including a pair of weeknight battles ahead of a loaded Saturday quadrupleheader. The action kicks off with a Tuesday night Conference USA game between Florida International and Liberty, which already has two league wins under its belt and is looking to maintain an undefeated record thus far.

Conference USA returns to the spotlight Thursday night when Middle Tennessee travels to Louisiana Tech. Both teams are looking to right the ship after a tough month that has seen them drop to a combined record of 2-7. Friday night brings Mountain West Conference action with UNLV’s trip to Utah State

Then comes a loaded Saturday with several intriguing games amid one of the biggest weekends of the year. A pair of potential College Football Playoff teams — Army and Boise State — are in action throughout the day. The Black Knights host UAB in American Athletic Conference play, while the Broncos are looking to create more distance in the Mountain West race as they travel to Hawaii

CBS Sports Network will be with you every step of the way once the Week 7 games begin. In the meantime, get caught up on viewing information, storylines, betting odds and more for each matchup.

Florida International at Liberty

Date: Tuesday, Oct. 8  | Time: 7 p.m.

Spread: Liberty -19.5 | Will the Flames cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 projections here

This is the first midweek game in a season filled with midweek games for Liberty, which is still hanging on to College Football Playoff hopes. The Flames are down a game right now after their trip to Appalachian State was canceled due to the effects of Hurricane Helene, which means that Jamey Chadwell’s squad hasn’t played football in over two weeks. Florida International does provide a nice opportunity to get back on track. The Panthers have had a roller coaster season that’s seen them beat the likes of Central Michigan and Louisiana Tech while losing at home against FCS Monmouth. They’re also 0-2 on the road.

Middle Tennessee at Louisiana Tech

Date: Thursday, Oct. 10 | Time: 8 p.m.
Location: Joe Aillet Stadium  — Ruston, Louisiana
TV: CBS Sports Network [Channel finder
Live stream: CBSSports.com | Mobile: CBS Sports App (Free)
Spread: Louisiana Tech -4.5 | Will the Bulldogs cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 projections here

Something has to give when the Blue Raiders and the Bulldogs face off Thursday night. Neither team has won against an FBS foe this season. Middle Tennessee is 0-4 since narrowly beating Tennessee Tech in Week 1, while Louisiana Tech is 0-3 since its own one-possession win against Nicholls in the season opener. MTSU has been outscored 170-48 in its last four games. Louisiana Tech has done a good job of keeping things more respectable, as it lost by just 10 points on the road against NC State a couple weeks ago and has come within one score of beating each of its two opponents since.

UNLV at Utah State

Date: Friday, Oct. 11 | Time: 9 p.m.
Location: Maverik Stadium — Logan, Utah
TV: CBS Sports Network [Channel finder
Live stream: CBSSports.com | Mobile: CBS Sports App (Free)
Spread: UNLV -18.5 | Will the Rebels cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 projections here

UNLV’s College Football Playoff hopes took a big hit last week as the Rebels fell in a Friday night road game against Power Four opponent Syracuse. The Rebels spent one week in the AP Top 25 — their first such ranking ever — before dropping out. That being said, everything is still in front of them. UNLV opened Mountain West Conference play with a 59-14 win against a really good Fresno State team. Now, it’s a big favorite on the road against Utah State, which is coming off a 62-30 loss against Boise State. The Aggies have now lost four straight games since their season-opening win against Robert Morris.

UAB at Army

Date: Saturday, Oct. 12 | Time: Noon
Location: Michie Stadium — West Point, New York
TV: CBS Sports Network [Channel finder
Live stream: CBSSports.com | Mobile: CBS Sports App (Free)
Spread: Army -24.5 | Will the Black Knights cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 projections here

Those caissons are rolling along. Army has emerged as a legitimate College Football Playoff contender in its first season with the American Athletic Conference. The Black Knights just scored a season-high 49 points in a win against Tulsa and they still have yet to allow more than 14 points in a game this season. UAB provides Jeff Monken’s squad a prime opportunity to advance to 5-0 in AAC play. The Blazers are faltering under coach Trent Dilfer and hit a new low Oct. 5 with a 71-20 loss to Tulane. That was UAB’s fourth straight loss by double digits, as it’s being outscored by an average of 27.5 points against FBS opponents.

Date: Saturday, Oct. 12 | Time: 3:30 p.m. ET

Spread: San Diego State -1 | Will the Aztecs cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 projections here

This game is key for two teams trying to avoid the bottom of the Mountain West Conference. Two of their three combined wins have come against league opponents, but both San Diego State and Wyoming are below .500 on the year. Offensive struggles are a big reason why. The Aztecs rank 10th in the Mountain West in total offense (322 yards per game) and scoring (20.6 points per game), while the Cowboys are 12th — out of 12 teams — in total offense (242 ypg) and 11th in scoring (16.4 ppg). Be the under, if you feel so inclined.

Spread: Oregon State -4.5 | Will the Beavers cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 projections here

This isn’t a Mountain West game, though Oregon State is, for all intents and purposes, playing a Mountain West Conference schedule. It will have to do for the Beavers, who won’t have a full conference home until 2026 after the Pac-12 was gutted, and then (partially) resurrected amid the latest round of realignment. Amid all the uncertainty, the Beavers have had a great season. Their only loss thus far came against an Oregon team that now ranks third in the nation. Otherwise, three of Oregon State’s four wins have come by at least 17 points. The Beavers are looking to keep things rolling against a Nevada team that has just one win since Aug. 31.

No. 17 Boise State at Hawaii

Date: Saturday, Oct. 12 | Time: 11 p.m. ET
Location: Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex — Honolulu, Hawaii
TV: CBS Sports Network [Channel finder
Live stream: CBSSports.com | Mobile: CBS Sports App (Free)
Spread: Boise State -21 | Will the Broncos cover? Check out SportsLine’s Week 7 projections here

Boise State is currently a heavy favorite to represent the Group of Five in the College Football Playoff. The Broncos also have a legitimate Heisman Trophy contender in running back Ashton Jeanty, who has 1,031 yards and 16 touchdowns rushing in just five games. He also has fewer than 100 carries on the year, and his rushing average — which currently sits at 10.9 yards per carry — ticks up any time he touches the ball. Boise State’s only loss this year did come on the road, but that was against No. 3 Oregon. Hawaii is still searching for its first win against an FBS team, though it is 2-1 at home. That one loss came by three points against power conference opponent UCLA
