Lions troll Cowboys with savage post after Jerry World demolition
You can’t get anything past the Lions’ social media team.
After the Cowboys posted a crowd photo with the score of their blowout loss blurred out on the massive center video board, Detroit’s X account wanted to make sure everyone knew how ugly the beatdown was.
“Is it us or is the scoreboard a little blurry?” the Lions wrote with a magnifying glass emoji.
The picture was originally posted by the Cowboys’ stadium account, @ATTStadium, bragging about the 93,644 fans in the stadium, but they decided to blur out the embarrassing final score.
Sure enough the Lions and their fans wouldn’t let this slide by.
A fan commented, asking if they could clear that image up a bit to reveal the score.
“Can yall fix it up? The admin of the cowboys seemed to have forgotten their glasses,” X user @rpdrvideos commented.
From there, the Lions posted a screengrab of the final score of 47-9, the largest loss in the history of AT&T Stadium, which opened in 2009.
“This was very concerning and it was very humbling,” Jones said after the game. “This was a shocker.”
The Cowboys owner stopped short of saying that coach Mike McCarthy’s job was in danger.
“Oh, I haven’t even considered that, I’m not considering that, so you’re clear, I’m not considering that,” Jones said, talking about the team’s sorry state. “Do you think I’m an idiot? Do you? OK? Well, I’m not gonna hypothetical with you about what I consider coaching change in light of the timing we’re sitting here with, I’m not at all.”
Whether he gets relieved or not, the Cowboys are in dire straits as they approach their bye week and an ensuing road matchup with the 49ers in Week 8.
