Little League World Series 2024: Tuesday Scores, Bracket Results and Highlights

The United States and international brackets for the 2024 Little League World Series continued to take shape Tuesday in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Survival was the goal for all eight teams in action. Having tasted defeat already, one more loss sends them packing in the double-elimination format.

Here’s how the action unfolded.

Venezuela defeats Aruba, 2-1

Hawaii vs. Pennsylvania, 3 p.m. ET

Mexico vs. Cuba, 5 p.m. ET

New York vs. Florida, 7 p.m. ET

Venezuela walked it off — literally and figuratively — in a 2-1 victory over Aruba.

On a full count with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, Jhonson Freitez watched Henry Kransen’s pitch hit the dirt and go to the backstop. That allowed Simón Vicheria to come home with the winning run.

Venezuela tied the game earlier in the inning on a wild pitch by Kransen. Aruba decided to intentionally walk Luis Yepez to set up a force-out situation at home, but the free pass proved consequential for a different reason moments later.

José Pérez and Willian’s Mora each pitched three innings for Venezuela and combined for 10 strikeouts. They both kept Aruba’s hitters guessing at the plate and very nearly had a shutout.

Center fielder Samuel Carrasquel was inches away from keeping Aruba off the board in the first inning. But Nishant Toledo’s sinking line drive got just under his glove.

That was just one of three hits for Aruba across the entire game, though.
