Texas at the 2024 LLWS: Meet the Boerne Little League team
Meet Team Texas from Boerne. Discover its journey from a small town to the grand stage in Williamsport at the 2024 Little League World Series.
The 2024 Little League World Series is down to eight teams split evenly between the United States and International brackets.
In the United States bracket, Southwest Region champions Nevada are set to take on Mountain champions Texas on the winners’ side of the bracket. Nevada opened the tournament with a 9-0 win over Pennsylvania last Thursday and followed it with a 4-1 win over Florida. Texas’ 9-1 win over New York and 3-2 victory against Hawaii earned them a spot in the final eight teams.
In the International bracket, Japan’s 11-0 win over Puerto Rico and 2-1 victory over Venezuela has them in contention to win their first Little League World Series since 2017. They’ll take on Chinese Taipei who have rattled off three consecutive wins – 8-0 over Canada, 11-0 over Australia, and 10-2 over Cuba – in the finals of the winners’ side bracket.
Mexico and Venezuela face off in the elimination side of the International bracket. In the United States bracket, Hawaii and Florida are still in the hunt on the elimination side.
