Midwest: Missouri (Webb City) 6, South Dakota (Sioux Falls) 4

Missouri broke a three-all tie in the bottom of the fifth inning with a two-out, three-run rally to help the team earn a 6-4 win over South Dakota.

With the bases loaded, a walk, fielder’s choice and hit-by-pitch turned a 3-3 tie into a 6-3 Missouri lead.

South Dakota got one back in the sixth and found itself with runners on the corners with one out, but a strikeout and groundout ended the game.

Missouri began the matchup with three runs in the first, but South Dakota fought back with one in the third and two in the fifth.

Missouri now advances to the Midwest final on Friday. South Dakota is still alive and will play in the semifinal against Iowa (Davenport) on Wednesday.

New England Region: New Hampshire (Salem) 4, Massachusetts (Bridgewater) 3

New Hampshire jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings and held off a valiant Massachusetts rally late for a 4-3 victory.

New Hampshire scored three in the first, with Wes Boudreau’s two-RBI single serving as the big blow. A third-inning error led to New Hampshire’s fourth run.

Massachusetts got on the board with a fourth-inning sacrifice fly. Micah Poulter and Jeremiah Gonzales then added RBI singles in the fifth to cut the New Hampshire lead to 4-3.

Massachusetts got a runner in scoring position after a leadoff single and a stolen base with two out, but a strikeout ended the game.

New Hampshire now advances to the New England region final to play Maine (Portland) on Thursday.
