Local business owners prepare for Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is tomorrow and local small business owners want to remind people to shop local this weekend.

Small Business Saturday is a yearly event that takes place between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It is aimed to provide small business owners a chance to compete with major retailers.

Johnson City’s Azlinn Hope Boutique had many people shopping the clothing racks on Friday and the shop’s owner talked with News 5 about how big this weekend is for small business owners.

This is the Super Bowl of fashion. It’s fashion week, it’s so fun. It is so cool to see all the families together. We have so many people together, the fitting rooms have been full all week and all weekend long and it’s an awesome week it’s like Super Bowl for fashion and we love all the local support for Small Business Saturday and Black Friday,” said Azlinn Edwards, owner of Azlinn Hope Boutique.

The boutique will be open from 10 – 5 and will have lots of deals to choose from.
